چکیده

Isolat ditumbuhkan media Nutrien Agar selama masa isolasi pemurnian. Identifikasi isolat dilakukan uji morfologi biokimia. mengacu buku identifikasi Biochemical Tests for Identification of Medical Bacteria 2nd edition. Hasil ketiga didapatkan 10 bakteri. menunjukkan bahwa genus Micrococcus sp., Pseudomonas Flavobacterium sp. Vibrio Namun, terdapat masing-masing berbeda.

Population genetic structure between Yap and Palau for the coral Acropora hyacinthus

Information on connectivity is becoming increasingly in demand as marine protected areas are being designed as an integral part of a network to protect marine resources at the ecosystem level. Larval dispersal and population structure, however, remain very difficult to assess. Here, we tested the predictions of a detailed oceanographic connectivity model of larval dispersal and coral recruitmen...

Recolonisation of Acropora hyacinthus following climate-induced coral bleaching on the Great Barrier Reef

Given projected increases in the frequency and/or severity of climatic disturbances, the persistence of corals may be more a function of their capacity for regeneration than resistance to such episodic disturbances. If so, climate change may favour those corals that regenerate fastest following acute disturbance. The tabular coral Acropora hyacinthus is fast-growing and typically dominates shal...

Distinctive wound-healing characteristics in the corals Pocillopora damicornis and Acropora hyacinthus found in two different temperature regimes

Wound healing is a critical physiological function needed for survival in all marine organisms. However, it is particularly critical in organisms like corals, which cannot escape predators. In this study, I characterized the gross morphology of wound healing in Pocillopora damicornis and Acropora hyacinthus found in two pools with distinct previously documented temperature profiles in Ofu, Amer...

Competitive dominance by tabular corals: an experimental analysis of recruitment and survival of understorey assemblages.

Tabular and staghorn corals of the genus Acropora often form low-diversity stands on shallow coral reefs, presumably due to their rapid growth rate and ability to outcompete understorey assemblages. Coral cover underneath the abundant Indo-Pacific tabular coral, Acropora hyacinthus, was four times lower than on the adjacent substratum on the reef crest at Lizard Island on the northern Great Bar...
